"We booked Llew Jones for our wedding in September 2018. Initially we were happy with the reasonable price and willingness to accommodate our timing requests. When a representative called to verify things a few days before the wedding I asked them to come do a site inspection to make sure they could get up the drive and knew where to go for drop off and pick up of our guests. I was told that it was unnecessary and we should just send a map with the locations marked on it, which we did. We arranged a pick up location (to get to the venue) that I only realised later was quite vague.
I called and left a message on Saturday morning (the day of the wedding) asking for clarification but did not receive a call back. There was no out-of-hours information on their answering machine. We found out after the ceremony that the coach arrived late and then the driver refused to come up the nearly mile-long driveway and forced our guests, in their dress clothes and shoes, to walk to the venue.
My new husband and his best man consequently spent more than an hour of our reception trying to get in touch with someone to ensure our guests would not have to make the same trek at the end of the night. They finally found an out-of-hours number, which had a message on it saying they were on holiday. My husband eventually had to leave a review on Facebook to get anyone to respond to him. In the end they sent an additional, smaller coach to run guests down the length of the drive, which was fine, but would not have been necessary had they come to do a site inspection as requested and worked out a solution to begin with.
Most unacceptably, I sent an email after the wedding expressing my displeasure at my husband having to waste time on this during our reception and, to date, six months later, have received no response from the company.
This is not a company I will ever be using or recommending."
