"I was hoping to avoid this review by speaking to the company directly, but we didn’t have much luck.
Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience with Trent Travel as our coach was half an hour late, meaning we missed our first booking and we lost our deposit. The bus was also unable to reach our pick up location which meant we had to walk almost 20 minutes to meet him (although this wasn’t completely their fault it did delay us further, meaning we missed our second booking and lost that deposit also). When trying to turn into our road the driver damaged the coach, which I felt we were blamed for by the way the driver spoke to me when we reached him. He then proceeded to ask me the route out of the area, and had no idea where he was taking us! We were told we could play our CD on the coach trip, but Trent Travel sent a coach with a broken CD player, and the driver wouldn’t change the radio station for us. When the driver picked us up later he didn’t pick us up from where he said he would, meaning it took us almost 20 minutes to find him. When we finally did he swore at my friend, asking ‘are you fucking getting on then?’ Despite everything we always remained friendly and polite to our driver. Overall a very bad experience. I asked the company to compensate us for our deposits lost, and we were offered half for us to not leave a review. Although we were not happy and hoping for the full amount, we agreed to half but said we would still leave an honest review. The company then turned it around and said we left the coach in a mess (a lie, we took all of our things with us). They said we didn’t pay the deposit for having food and drink on the coach, but the company never told us about said deposit- so that’s something to be aware of if you book them! Needless to say we have not had our compensation. Avoid this company."
